Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the LawFirmAI platform at lawfirmai.in and portal.lawfirmai.in (the “Service”) operated by LawFirmAI (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and agree to comply with these Terms and all applicable Indian laws and regulations.

2. Description of Service

LawFirmAI is a cloud-based legal practice management platform designed for Indian advocates and law firms. The Service includes tools for:

  • Case creation and management
  • AI-powered document analysis and RAG-based chat
  • Multi-agent AI case investigation
  • AI-assisted legal document drafting
  • Document upload, OCR, and management
  • Team and firm management
  • Real-time messaging and calendar scheduling

LawFirmAI does not provide legal advice. All AI-generated content — including document drafts, investigation reports, and case analyses — is a tool to assist qualified legal professionals and must be reviewed and validated by a licensed advocate before use in any legal proceeding or client matter.

3. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account with accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately at lawfirmai@lawfirmai.in of any unauthorised use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.

4. Subscription and Billing

The Service is offered on a monthly subscription basis. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis at the applicable plan rate. All fees are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes.

  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.
  • Plan Changes: Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle with prorated adjustments.
  • Failed Payments: If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry and notify you. Persistent payment failure may result in suspension of your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable Indian law or regulation, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Bar Council of India Rules
  • Upload, store, or transmit any content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes third-party intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the platform
  • Use the platform to harass, threaten, or harm any individual
  • Engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Share your account credentials with any person who is not an authorised member of your firm

6. Data and Confidentiality

You retain full ownership of all case data, client information, and documents you upload to the Service (“Your Data”). By uploading Your Data, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process, store, and analyse it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

We treat Your Data as confidential. Your Data is never shared with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy, and is never used to train shared AI models.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, and underlying AI technology, is owned by LawFirmAI and is protected by Indian and international intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our express written permission.

Document templates provided by LawFirmAI are licensed to you for use within the Service. You may not redistribute or commercialise these templates outside the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, LawFirmAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including damages resulting from:

  • Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content, document drafts, or investigation reports
  • Reliance on the Service without independent professional verification
  • Unauthorised access to your account due to your failure to maintain credential security
  • Service interruptions or data loss beyond our reasonable control

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to LawFirmAI in the three (3) months immediately preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LawFirmAI, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Pune, Maharashtra, India.

Before initiating any legal proceedings, the parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation for a period of thirty (30) days.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms, are engaged in fraudulent activity, or if continued access poses a security risk to other users.

Upon termination, your right to access the Service immediately ceases. You may request a copy of Your Data within 30 days of termination after which it will be permanently deleted.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes via email or prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance.
